Wynwood Art District is a neighbourhood in Miami, Florida. Formerly a manufacturing district, Wynwood was picked up by developers and many old warehouses and factories were transformed into over 70 art galleries, cafes, shops and restaurants. It is also home to many other creative businesses.
In the heart of the neighbourhood lies Wynwood walls – a collection of giant walls from six buildings used as a canvas for street artists from around the globe. You can visit the walls for free and there’s plenty more art to see in the surrounding area too.
It’s a very popular spot for tourists as it’s only a short drive from South Beach and just minutes from downtown Miami. However, I still think there are people that don’t know about it and miss out!
I took all of the following photos during my time in Miami in February 2017- some are from Wynwood walls and others from the greater Wynwood area.

”Our mission is to promote Wynwood as the epicenter of the arts and creative businesses in Greater Miami while enhancing the character of the factory and warehouse district. Furthermore, The Wynwood Arts District Association is committed to providing a clean, safe, and enriching environment for pedestrians, occupants, and visitors.”

Yes! No. 5 is at Wynwood Walls and I think it’s one of the more photographed artworks there! Beautiful colours. I love the bakery !
